Refer a Family

We accept referrals from family courts, local authority children's services, and legal teams in pre-proceedings. We respond to all referral enquiries within one working day.

Who Can Refer

Accepted Referral Routes

We work with courts, local authorities, and legal teams to ensure every placement is appropriate, well-planned, and in the best interests of the child.

Family Court Direction

Court-directed under PLO 2023 / Practice Direction 12A. We liaise with legal teams, IROs, and CAFCASS directly.

🏛️

Local Authority Children's Services

Referrals from children's social workers under s.47 Children Act 1989 or pre-proceedings under the PLO. Assessed within 48 hours.

Legal Teams & Solicitors

We work with solicitors representing parents and children's guardians to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and legally robust.

👥

CAFCASS & IROs

We accept directions from CAFCASS and IROs and provide regular progress updates throughout the placement.

How to Make a Referral

Initial contact — Email or call our Registered Manager to discuss availability and suitability. Response within one working day.

Referral details — Provide details of the child, family background, court directions, and specific assessment questions.

Suitability assessment — We assess suitability against our Statement of Purpose and current capacity within 48 hours.

Pre-placement meeting — Multi-agency meeting to agree the Family Placement Plan and assessment framework.

Admission — Pre-placement introductory visit. Placement plan signed by all parties before admission.
